Bark, Branches & Organics
Study the texture of bark and practice making the textures using some of the quilt art products such as Lutradur, fusibles, cheese cloth, felt and glass beads. Create interesting and lifelike branches and organic textures using stabilizers and thread. Materials: Sewing machine & free motion foot, basic sewing kit including pins, scissors, various colors of thread in greens and browns, thin embroidery hoop, 2 styrofoam meat trays. Shine & Shimmer
Practice using foils, metals, copper and other interesting products that give shine and shimmer to your art quilt. Metallic paints, glass beads, Angelina products and shiva paintstiks will be explored. Materials: Sewing machine & free motion foot, basic sewing kit including pins, scissors, various colors of thread and an old ballpoint pen or stylus. Kit fee $30.00 + taxes

Learn the techniques of wet and needle felting in this introductory class. Course will include how to make flowers, cords, beads and a variey of embellishments.
